About Nacon

Nacon began its activities in 2002 with the distribution of dairy products. By establishing partnerships with large national and international industries such as SEE, it has become a reference in Brazilian retail.

Challenge

Nacon has been in the dairy market for 20 years and presented us with a challenge: They needed a sustainable solution that would extend its useful life and stand out at the point of sale, to meet the growing demand for fractionated products and also stand out at the point of sale.

It was then that we introduced the Cryovac® Darfresh® on Board solution.

Marcondes Moura, Director of Commercial Development at Nacon, explains that the company has been following the evolution of consumer habits and seeks to take the lead in bringing new experiences to its consumers. “We see that nowadays families are smaller, and people want to try new things, but in a way that fits their budget. We understand that the sliced cheese board in premium packaging enhances the product and also allows new entrants into this market”, comments the executive.

Solution

The Cryovac® Darfresh® On Board system extends the useful life of the product by up to 150 days in the project with Nacon. Furthermore, it also has an innovative design thanks to its cardboard base that allows printing on both sides of the tray, which, combined with skin technology, elevates the packaging to a premium position.

And it doesn't stop there: Darfresh® On Board also reduces the use of film by up to 40% and generates savings of up to 80% in transportation and storage space, factors that reduce our customers' environmental footprint. With Cryovac® technology Darfresh® On Board, Nacon increased sales by 60% between 2020 and 2021 and projected 200% growth in 2022.
